About Me

Chen Wanxiang, a Chinese-American artist, hails from Guangzhou, has been living abroad for over 30 years. He is a member of the Guangdong Branch of the Chinese Artists Association. Graduated from the Guangdong School of Arts and Crafts in 1980, he previously served as an art editor at the Guangdong People's Publishing House, publishing numerous art books and holding eleven solo exhibitions.

In 1983, his cartoon album won the Excellence Award at the International Exposition in Italy (translated into over 30 languages ​​for publication). In 1984, he won the first prize for illustrations in a painting collection from the five provinces of Central and South China. His name was included in the book "Record of Contemporary Chinese Artists" in 1990. In 2005, he was recognized as one of the "Top Ten Influential Figures in Northern California" in the United States. In 2010, he was honored as an "Outstanding Chinese Representative" by the United States Postal Service, and a commemorative stamp collection of his works was issued.

Chen Wanxiang's artworks blend Eastern and Western painting techniques, creating rhythmic contrasts between dots, lines, and surfaces. His compositions harmonize calligraphy with rich and unique colors, exuding an elegant and contemporary artistic flair. His works have been featured in numerous newspapers, magazines, television programs, and channels both in China and the United States. He has produced over 600 commercial designs and paintings for various five-star businesses, including many pieces ranging from 30 to 150 feet in length, showcasing his outstanding artistic talent and style.
